The Summer/Youth Academy 2025, organized by the Akademie Schloss Kirchberg in cooperation with Slow Food Germany, offers a great opportunity to engage with innovative approaches to nutrition, agriculture, and environmental protection.

Who is behind the event?

We, the Akademie Schloss Kirchberg and Slow Food Germany, combine our expertise and passion for sustainable projects and regional, fair food.

Both Slow Food and the Academy work nationally and internationally to promote creative and innovative solutions as well as interdisciplinary exchange.

What is offered?

Date: Saturday, August 30 to Saturday, September 6, 2025
Location: Primary Schloss Kirchberg in the Jagsttal
Target group: (Young) engaged individuals interested in nutrition, agriculture, and environmental protection who want to expand their knowledge.
Program A mix of:
- Lectures
- Workshops
- Excursions in the surrounding area, including to Lake Constance
- Great food and accommodation in the historic castle.

What is the goal of the Summer/Youth Academy?

The overarching goal of the Summer/Youth Academy is to create a space for exchange and ideas. We particularly emphasize the theme "Rethinking Nutrition Together." Through the various program points, we aim to encourage discussions on critical topics, develop solutions for problems, and create innovative ideas for the future of nutrition.

Program Topics:

Land, water, forest, society: Four central themes to be covered in various workshops and lectures.

A day with master baker Arnd Erbel in Dachsbach: Experience the sourdough master in his bakery and enjoy Slow Food in his café.

A day in Rengoldshausen: A special excursion on sustainable nutrition and regional production at Lake Constance, in the spirit of Slow Food.

The program aims to foster networking and raise awareness, as well as sharpen mindfulness for sustainable nutrition and environmental protection. We invite you to actively shape the future through the Summer/Youth Academy and develop new perspectives for the food of tomorrow. This is really an exciting opportunity to actively engage in forward-thinking topics! Will you be part of it?

Become a sponsor - with your company or organization

With a sponsorship fee of 560 € you can finance a scholarship for participants with limited financial means, which reduces the participant fee to 190 €. We will be happy to include you as a sponsor with your logo in the digital presentation of the summer school and the printed program.

The offer of the summer school is addressed to:

Students with interest in agriculture and food industry
Trainees and young employees from companies in the food industry
Committed farmers (conventional and organic)
All other creative minds who can help to shape the future of our nutrition

In addition to the sponsorship option, you as a company can of course also register participants yourself. The participant contribution is then 750 € per person from your own company.
